From April 2015, the Care Certificates replaces the Common Induction Standards and National Minimum Training Standards. The Care Certificate is an identified set of standards that health and social care workers adhere to in their daily working life. It is a mandatory requirement that all new health and social care workers must be inducted in line with the Care Certificate Framework. The training provides the health and social care worker with required knowledge, fundamental skills to be caring and provide quality care. It also serves as a basis for progression in the development of their knowledge and skills.
The care certificate consists of 15 standards:

5. Work in a person centred way
